Terms and refunds

Last updated June 10, 2026. Plain language, written to be read.

These terms cover your use of goodsteadkits.com and the digital kits Goodstead sells. By buying or downloading a kit, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, email us before you buy and we will sort it out.

What you are buying

Every Goodstead product is a digital download: PDF files you receive instantly, with nothing shipped. You can print them at home or read them on any device. Files are sized for standard US Letter paper.

Your license

When you buy a kit, you get a license to use it for yourself and your own household, including printing copies for the family members and helpers caring for your parent. You may not resell the files, share them publicly, post them online, or distribute them outside your household. The kit stays yours to use for as long as you need it.

Refunds

Digital files are not usually returnable, because you keep them the moment they download. We still stand behind the work. If a file will not open or download, or the kit does not earn its place for your family, email us within 30 days of purchase and we will give you a full refund. No forms, no argument. If you bought on Etsy, message us through the shop and we will handle it there.

This is a tool, not advice

Goodstead kits are organizational tools. They are not medical, legal, financial, or tax advice, and using one does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Laws, insurance rules, and care costs change and vary by state. For decisions in those areas, rely on your parent's clinicians, a licensed elder-law attorney, or a qualified financial adviser. Where a kit cites a cost or a rule, it names the source and the date so you can check what is current. The kits are provided as is, without warranties of any kind.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Goodstead is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of a kit, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the product. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case the minimum the law requires applies instead.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business grows. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
